Peel ("we," "our," or "us") is developed and published by Bao Studios LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information Peel collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. This policy applies to the Peel mobile application available on Google Play (and, in future, the Apple App Store).
Account information. Peel uses anonymous authentication by default — you can play the daily game fully without creating an account. If you choose to create a permanent account (currently via Google Sign-In), we collect your name and email address as provided by your sign-in method, and a unique account identifier.
Gameplay data. To sync your progress across devices, we store your total points and rank, your current and longest streak, which puzzles you've solved, and the date you last played. This data lives on your device at all times, and — only if you create an account — is mirrored to our cloud database (Google Firebase/Firestore) so your progress can follow you across devices.
We use the information above solely to operate the daily puzzle game, sync your progress if you create an account, maintain optional social features (such as a friends leaderboard, if enabled), and provide customer support if you contact us.
Peel uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and related infrastructure) to store account and progress data securely — see Google's Privacy Policy. If you link a permanent account via Google Sign-In, Google provides your name and email to us through their standard sign-in flow. We do not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics/tracking beyond what's described here.
Account deletion. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account), or externally without the app at our Account Deletion page. Deleting your account permanently removes your account identity and synced progress from our systems, and resets local progress on the device where you deleted it.
Playing without an account. If you never create an account, your data stays entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers. Uninstalling the app deletes this data.
Signing out. Signing out unlinks your device from your account but does not delete it — sign back in later to restore your progress.
We retain account and progress data for as long as your account is active. Deleted account data is removed from our active systems immediately, subject to standard backup-purge cycles.
Peel is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us below and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including Firebase's security rules that ensure only you can access your own account data. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
